 Session 1  Aim-  To build rapport and identify the problem. Process The patient was offered a comfortable and a glass of water and asked about the issues. The patient said that she is feeling sad and depressed from a month without any reason and same happens with her every year from last 3 years. The patient was enquired about family mental illness history and other symptoms. She said she don't able to feel pleasure in previous enjoyable activities and her sleep is also decreased. She was advised to use her bed for sleeping purpose only and not to do other tasks at it. She was also advised to have daylight as much as possible, and have healthy food. She was called for next visit after 15 days. Session 2 Aim- To analyse the previous step and take further step Process- The patient was asked about the response of the last step. She reported she felt somewhat good but not totally good. Treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder

  Session 1- Aim - To build rapport and have a brief understanding of the problem. Process- The patient was offered a comfortable seat and a glass of water and asked for tea and snacks. Normal conversation like where do you live, how you come here, to whom do you live etc was started to build rapport. During this conversation, the patient was found to be emotionally unstable, depressive, feeling of unworthiness. Patient was then asked about his positive things. After thinking alot, patient counted like I can do many activities like kartav, cutting wrist and all this don't harm her. Then the patient was asked about the reason for self harm. She said it gives pleasure. Then the patient was told about the disadvantages of it. Then the patient promised to not attempt such things. Eating Disorder

 MEANING Eating Disorder tends to impair health, emotional being and social functioning. There are mainly three eating disorders namely, Binge Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, and Anorexia Nervosa. TYPES BINGE EATING DISORDER It is characterized by episodes of binge eating. It is accompanied by consumption of large amount of  food without having a control and even if they aren't hungry. BULIMIA NERVOSA It is binge eating with compensatory behaviors like vomiting, fasting, excessive exercise etc. These people have fear of weight gain and so do unusual behavior such as forcing to vomit, exercising too much, using dietary supplements etc. ANOREXIA NERVOSA It is characterized by taking restricted amount of food which is less than the amount required to the body. People have fear of weight gain, dissatisfied body image. TREATMENT Patients can consult a psychiatrist or a psychologist.

Seasonal Affective Disorder

  MEANING Seasonal Affective Disorder is a type of depression that occurs at the time of change in seasons. People tend to feel low as compared to their usual self. It is generally seen in Winters. It is most commonly seen in women over men. SYMPTOMS Some common symptoms are: Feeling depressed most of the time. Changes in Appetite. Changes in weight. problems in sleep. Feeling of hopelessness. Feeling of unworthiness. Loss of interest in pre enjoyable activities. Difficulties in concentration. Frequent thoughts of death or suicide. CAUSES Some common causes include: Deficit in vitamin D Disturbance in chemicals like serotonin and melatonin  TREATMENT Patients with Seasonal affective disorder can consult to psychiatrist or psychologist.

Borderline Personality Disorder

MEANING Borderline Personality disorder is a mental illness. It's onset is generally adolescence or early adulthood. It is a disorder associated with the personality of an individual. SYMPTOMS Some symptoms are: Fear of abandonment or left alone - They have fear of being left alone.  Unclear or shifting self image- They feel unstable about self. Sometimes they feel good about themselves and sometimes bad. Impulsive, self destructive behaviors- They may engage in harmful behaviors like spending money out of range, driving recklessly, doing risky sex with alcohol or drugs, etc and feel happy for the moment. Extreme emotional swings- They feel happy at a moment and sad at another. Explosive anger - They struggle with controlling their anger like throwing things. They are short tempered. Self harm- They also try to self harm, have suicidal thoughts and might attempt suicide also.
